THE GYM
Situated in the heart of Kirkintilloch, the new CLUB GYM site has been intelligently zoned to support both premium small group training and unrestricted open gym access. The layout allows classes to run seamlessly without compromising independent training flow.
The facility features Performance Series Half Racks, including two with integrated 100kg weight stacks and one with an integrated Smith machine attachment. Complemented by Performance Series Stairclimbers, Curved Treadmills, Indoor Cycles, a 4-Station multi gym, and a full 2.5kg to 50kg CPU Dumbbell set, the space delivers a complete strength and conditioning offering.
THE BRIEF
CLUB GYM required a versatile facility that could cater to multiple member profiles. The space needed to accommodate structured group sessions while maintaining a high-quality open gym environment.
Crucially, the design had to be future-proof. The gym needed the flexibility to evolve with market demand, whether shifting towards hybrid event preparation or maintaining a traditional strength-led open gym model.
THE SOLUTION
PRIMAL developed a clear zoning strategy to maximise functionality without sacrificing atmosphere. The Performance Series Half Racks provide scalable strength training options for all levels, while integrated weight stacks and the Smith attachment broaden accessibility.
Cardio and conditioning equipment were selected to support high-intensity group formats alongside everyday member use. The overall layout ensures the gym can pivot between training trends, adapting its floor focus as required without structural compromise.
