Free Weights Rollout


The partnership initially began with PRIMAL supplying free weights across several JD Gyms locations throughout the UK, starting with sites in Wales before expanding nationwide. As JD Gyms continued to grow its footprint, PRIMAL provided a range of premium strength equipment including Performance Series urethane weight plates, commercial dumbbells, and fixed barbells — all selected to meet the demands of high-traffic training environments.


The success of these initial installations quickly strengthened the relationship between both brands and demonstrated PRIMAL’s ability to support JD Gyms’ operational standards at scale. As confidence in the partnership grew, the collaboration naturally evolved beyond free weights



The Partnership

As the relationship developed, JD Gyms expanded its partnership with PRIMAL to include commercial cardio equipment, including curved treadmills designed to enhance functional and performance-focused training spaces.

This next phase reflected a growing alignment between both brands — combining PRIMAL’s expertise in performance training environments with JD Gyms’ commitment to delivering modern, engaging fitness experiences for members.

Over time, PRIMAL has now supplied equipment solutions across more than 20 JD Gyms locations throughout the UK.

Designing the Future of Hybrid Training

Most recently, the partnership has evolved beyond equipment supply into collaborative gym design and facility development.

PRIMAL is now working alongside JD Gyms to help design and build state-of-the-art hybrid training spaces that support the changing demands of modern gym users. These areas are being developed to accommodate group training sessions, and elite zones for members training to compete
