The MRX 5.0 combines four machines in one footprint: a dual adjustable cable pulley (functional trainer) with a 2:1 ratio, a Smith machine with sealed bearings, a half rack, plus a multi-grip pull-up bar, dip handles and a landmine attachment. That covers everything from presses and squats to cable work, pull-ups, dips and rotational core training.
Is the MRX 5.0 a good fit for someone just starting out?
Yes, it's our entry-level multi-rack system, designed specifically for home use. The pin-select weight stacks make it easy to adjust resistance quickly, and the Smith machine's fixed bar path adds an extra layer of safety while you build confidence with free-weight movements.
Does the MRX 5.0 come with the weight stacks included?
It's available either way. You can order it without weight stacks, or with 2x 90kg (2x 200lbs) weight stacks included, so you can choose the setup that fits your training goals and budget.
How does the MRX 5.0 compare to the MRX 7.0?
The MRX 5.0 is our entry point into the multi-rack range, while the MRX 7.0 is positioned as a light commercial step-up it ships with slightly heavier 100kg weight stacks (vs 90kg on the 5.0), plus a larger attachment package. Both combine a half rack, functional trainer and Smith machine, but the 7.0 is built for higher-frequency use in studios or busier home setups, while the 5.0 is optimized for everyday home training.

How heavy is the Smith machine bar on the MRX 7.0?
The bar itself carries 37.5 lbs (17kg) of resistance on its own, moving on sealed bearings for a smooth, guided path — so you're never starting from zero even before you load a plate.
Can I use my own barbell and plates with the MRX 7.0?
Yes — it's designed to work with any Primal Olympic bar, and comes with built-in storage pins so your bar and plates have a home right on the rack.

What can you actually train with the MRX 9.0?
The MRX 9.0 covers five of the most popular commercial-gym machines in one footprint: half power rack, functional trainer with adjustable swivel arms, Smith machine, lat pulldown/low cable row, and a vertical leg press (with the Smith machine leg press attachment). That's presses, squats, pulldowns, rows and leg press all from one rig.
How much resistance do the weight stacks give me?
Two connectable 275 lbs rear stacks power the lat pulldown and low row — run them independently at a 2:1 ratio, or connect them together for 1:1 resistance when you want to load up further.
What's the Smith machine rated for?
The Smith machine has a 550 lbs max weight capacity, with an unloaded bar weight of 45 lbs — plenty of headroom for serious compound lifting.
How much load can the cable system handle?
The pulley cables are commercial, aircraft-grade, and tested to a 2205 lbs capacity — well beyond anything you'd realistically load onto the stacks.
